ABOUT HAZEL MORAN
BIOGRAPHY
Hazel Moran is a Television and Digital Media student at Ithaca College with a minor in Communication Strategy and Design.
Since Hazel was young, she has loved performing and telling stories. She often spent hours in her room coming up with tales and making her younger sister act alongside her. At age twelve, Hazel had the opportunity to direct her seventh grade class retelling of The Iliad by Homer. This was Hazels first experience directing a play, and she fell in love with the art and logistics of storytelling.
In high school, Hazel was an active member of her schools visual and performing arts group, putting on two musicals and a play every year. Hazel was a member of the costumes crew and eventually worked her way up to being head of costume design in her senior year. Through theater, Hazel found her love of filmmaking, and partook in many film classes both in and outside of school to further her film education. While taking these classes, Hazel realized that her love of storytelling, attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management skills were perfect for the job of a producer. Since then, Hazel has set her sights on becoming a television producer.
Throughout her time at Ithaca College, Hazel has had experience in many different aspects of filmmaking such as directing, lighting, sound design, camera operation, and script supervising. She continues to learn about all different aspects of film through classes and on set experience.
